PERCUSSIVE ARTS SOCIETY
Affiliates Program Guideliness
The Percussive Art Society welcomes letters of application from any percussion camp, festival or competition to be considered as an Affiliate program of PAS. Qualifications, conditions and application procedures for the Affiliate program are as follows:
- In order to be approved as an Affiliate program of PAS, the applying organization must meet the following criterion: If the applying organization is a competition, the members of the competition jury must be the level of artist or juror that would qualify for an appearance at PASIC (Percussive Arts Society International Convention), and if the applying organization is a camp or festival, the faculty or clinic presenters must be the level of artists that qualify for an appearance at PASIC.
- The applying organization, once approved to be an Affiliate of PAS, will be sent a PAS logo with a caption: [Organization’s or Event’s Name] is a Proud Affiliate of the Percussive Arts Society. The Affiliate organization agrees to prominently display the logo and caption on their website and in all print media related to the event.
- The Percussive Arts Society may provide the Affiliate with one free, 90-day membership to PAS for each participant at the event.
- The PAS website will list the organization/event as an Affiliate.
- PAS will add a notice of the event to the PAS website’s headlines.
- The Affiliate will provide a 1-2 paragraph description to PAS at least 60 days prior to the start date of the event.
- The Affiliate will provide PAS with an active member or participant email list after the event.
- The Affiliate designation will be in effect for the single event as described in the letter of application. Affiliates are encouraged to apply annually for renewal of the Affiliate designation.
Organizations may make application to PAS to become an Affiliate at any time during the year prior to the event, once the names of the clinicians/faculty/jurors have been determined. The letter must include a list of artists appearing at their event, the dates of the event, the location of the event, and electronic and office physical space contact information for the organization.
