The Connecticut Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society will present its annual Day Of Percussion at Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Ave., Fairfield, CT. The event is hosted by Jim Royle, The Jim Royle Drum Studio; Keith Johnston, Director of bands, Sacred Heart University; and Tim Holcomb, Director of percussion, Sacred Heart University.
Our guests will include
- Liam Teague - steelpan
- Marco Lienhard - Taiko drumming
- Chris Hanning - Calypso and FundAmental Drumming
- Gordon Stout - marimba
- Shawn Pelton - drum set
- Ithaca College Steel Band directed by Gordon Stout
- NYU Steel Band directed by Josh Quillen
- Jim Royle Drum Studio Steel Band with Liam Teague
- Drum repair clinic with Chris Kent during lunch break
There will also be participation from college, high school and middle school ensembles. Artists are subject to change due to scheduling.
Admission is $10.00 for Percussive Arts Society members, $15.00 for the general public.
