The Percussive Arts Society will host its 2005 Marching Percussion Festival Nov. 3 and 4 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, Ohio. The festival takes place during the 30th Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC), which includes clinics, concerts and master classes on all areas of percussion, plus a Drum and Percussion Expo.
The festival is known for presenting some of the most cutting-edge, contemporary marching percussion performances by high school and college marching percussion ensembles from across the country. The competition includes high school and college divisions in solo (snare, tenor, timpani, keyboard), small ensemble (3-9 members), standstill and drumlines.

The Percussive Arts Society (PAS) is the largest percussion organization in the world with more than 8,000 members and is considered the central source for information and networking for percussionists and drummers of all ages and skill levels. Established in 1961, the society is dedicated to promoting percussion education, research, performance and appreciation throughout the world.
