For Immediate Release: August 3, 2005
The Percussive Arts Society and Five-Star Drum Shops recently announced a new partnership that brings added value to both PAS members and drum shop customers. Through the relationship, PAS members will receive a 10 percent discount on educational books and videos at all Five-Star Drum Shops when presenting their PAS membership card, and drummers who purchase a drumset at any Five-Star Drum Shop will receive a free one-year online PAS membership.
"This partnership gives PAS members more value for their membership, and gives Five-Star Drum Shop customers a valuable connection to PAS resources, events and the global percussion community," says PAS Executive Director Michael Kenyon.
Jim Rupp, owner of Columbus Pro Percussion and member of the Five-Star Drum Shop network adds, "As a student, a teacher, a player and a dealer, I've been a member of PAS for as long as I can remember. That's because the Percussive Arts Society has always been on the leading edge of advancing the art of percussion. This alliance between Five-Star and PAS will make it easier for players of all persuasions to become better drummers and more informed consumers."
