Badaboum Quartet 

Competition Showcase Concert

Created by four students of the Conservatoire National de Région de Paris, the Badaboum Quartet is directed by Frederic Macarez, Director of Percussion Studies at the Conservatoire National de Région de Paris and Principal Timpanist of the Orchestre de Paris. The group received excellent reviews after their first concert performance in 2008 at the Musee d’art Moderne de la ville de Paris (Museum of Modern Art). After many more successful performances featuring traditional European and American repertoire for percussion quartet, the quartet has now been commissioning new works by young composers. The Badaboum Quartet is already scheduled for tours and performances in France and Europe over the next two years.
