Henrik Larsen is Director of Percussion at the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus Denmark. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus with Professor Einar Nielsen and at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Freiburg with Professor Bernhard Wulff. He has performed as a soloist, orchestral percussionist, and chamber musician all over Scandinavia, Europe, and the United States. Several martial art forms and especially Ki-Aikido have been inspirational in both his artistic and pedagogical work. Larsen has presented master classes and lectures at Oslo Conservatory of Music, Cracow Conservatory, Hochschule für Musik Detmold, Hanoi Conservatory, and Lugano Conservatory.
