Thursday, 9:00 a.m.
On Thursday morning at 9 am in room 10, four finalists will each perform a 20 minute program. They will begin their performance by playing “the dethronement of the earth from its geometrical pre-eminence” by Samuel Peruzzolo-Vieira the winning piece in this year’s Composition Competition and then precede to play a piece of their choosing.
We have an amazing panel of distinguished marimba artists judging the competition including Tom Burritt, Casey Cangelosi, Pius Cheung, Eriko Daimo, Christopher Norton, Janis Potter, and Gwen Thrasher.
