What is the CPC Mentoring Day Event at PASIC 2011?
The Percussive Arts Society’s College Pedagogy Committee (CPC) will present a day of presentations and discussions to aid young college teachers looking to continue at teaching and grow through the Mentoring Day experience. This year the event will have new topics that work to address the important matters facing the college percussion teacher today. The one-day event includes presenters from different institutions from around the country that will discuss the essential tools of being successful with navigating the pre-tenure period of teaching percussion at the college level. This exciting event will help to build communication skills and offer many opportunities to network with participants and presenters.
Who is the CPC Mentoring Day for?
The CPC has narrowed the focus for this event to include pre-tenure collegiate percussion instructors and graduate percussion students* with an interest in teaching at the collegiate level. *Graduate students are welcome to apply but will be put on a waiting list. If space is available after the deadline, you will be accepted.
