PASIC is the largest percussion event in the world featuring over 150 concerts, clinics, master classes, labs, workshops, panels and presentations. The finest artists from all over the world are invited to present and perform at PASIC. The program showcases all areas of percussion, including: drumset, marching, keyboard, symphonic, world, recreational, education, music technology, new music, and health & wellness.
We are seeking numerous hard working and enthusiastic individuals to share their time, talent, and knowledge to this exciting international event. The Percussive Arts Society is working hard to ensure that this convention is a huge success for both the performers and the attendees. Please join us; we need your help to make this event happen!
Key Volunteer Information
Membership requirement: PASIC volunteers may or may not be PAS members. Non-members are eligible to participate.
Age Requirement: All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
Available Positions: Volunteer opportunities range from registration to badge checking at session doors. Please be sure to review all available positions and their descriptions before choosing the area(s) in which you are interested. Volunteers will be asked to register for two (2) shifts. Each shift is on average 4-6 hours. Certain positions may require constant activity during a shift, and/or standing for periods of time.
Uniform: All volunteers will be provided with a PASIC 2013 Event Volunteer T-shirt. Please wear either khaki or black pants, comfortable shoes, and the provided shirt for all shifts.
Training: All volunteers will participate in a brief training session designed to familiarize each individual on all planned activities. Volunteers will be briefed on basic skills, specific responsibilities and given an overview of event locations.
The training session will take place an hour before your first shift starts.

PASIC Volunteer Job Descriptions
PASIC Registration Desk
This position handles all registration for the conference, including pick-up of all passes and tickets, and serves as a general information desk representative for PASIC 2013.
PASIC Badge Checkers for Session Doors
This position stands at session doors and checks badges to ensure that only registered PASIC attendees are entering the sessions.
PASIC Conference Gift Shop
This position will assist in the sales of PAS and PASIC merchandise, artist merchandise.
Rhythm! Discovery Center Gallery Facilitator
Volunteers will interact with guests in the galleries of Rhythm!, helping to assist with interactive exhibits.
Rhythm! Discovery Center Front Desk Assistant
Volunteers will help take coats/backpacks as well as give information about Rhythm! Volunteers will also check badges from PASIC attendees.
