Grover Pro Percussion has announced the release of new tambourine models featuring Remo Renaissance heads. This launch results from percussionists asking Grover Pro to develop a tambourine that can perform consistently at outdoor venues on the hottest, most humid days.
The new models are virtually unaffected by humidity. All three models feature a solid hardwood shell, staggered dual-width double row jingle slots, captive pins and double row hand-hammered jingles.
Three models are available: T2/GS-X German Silver jingles; T2/BC-X Beryllium Copper jingles; T2/GsPh Silver/Bronze combo.
Grover Pro Percussion Inc. has announced the release of the model TR-BRH triangle. Grover Pro Bronze-Pro Hammered triangles are manufactured from a half-inch diameter special high-grade bronze alloy. Prior to hand bending, the solid alloy rod is repetitively and meticulously hammered in a compact randomized pattern. This ensures that the inherent fundamental pitch is dampened and that the instruments intricate and complex harmonic structure is enhanced. After fabrication, each triangle is hand tested and precision engraved with the Grover logo and a unique serial number. Available in 6 and 8 sizes, this new Grover triangle is ideal for professionals and other percussionists who demand an instrument capable of full expression and ultimate musicality.
Pro-Mark has announced that Joey Jordison, drummer for the Grammy Award-winning heavy metal powerhouse Slipknot, has joined Pro-Marks roster of Autograph Series artists.
The TX515W Joey Jordison model is .551 (14mm) in diameter, and 16 long. Made of American Hickory, the TX515W is based on the 777 design but slightly shorter. The round wood tip provides exceptional articulation, power and consistency. The diameter is the same as the companys 5A, so it is a practical stick that should enjoy universal appeal. A Japanese oak version (PW515) of the same stick will be made available at a later date.
The stick features the tribal S that all Slipknot fans have come to know as well as Joeys number 1. The red ink on the sticks has even been mixed with Joeys blood!
