Student Delegates

PAS Student Delegates are highly motivated university or high school students seeking to become more involved in the percussion community, while gaining valuable leadership experience. Delegates are the liaisons between student percussionists and the leadership of PAS in their chapter, playing a vital role in our efforts to better serve percussion students. The delegates receive various materials from PAS to share with their peers, campuses and chapters to communicate initiatives and recruit students to join PAS.

Who's eligible?

Any VIP Subscriber level (or above) who is currently a university or high school student is eligible to apply. Professors and directors are encouraged to nominate students they believe will be strong ambassadors of the PAS mission, to promote percussion education, performance and appreciation.

What are the responsibilities?

Student Delegates are responsible for spreading awareness of PAS-sponsored events throughout their campuses and chapters by posting/emailing PAS materials and providing student updates to the chapter newsletter. They are also responsible for promoting PAS by informing peers of member benefits and opportunities through social media, while coordinating recruiting efforts and other initiatives with the PAS Chapter Officers.

Delegates receive personalized business cards, with their own email address, so they can recruit new members as an official PAS representative. PAS Student Delegates should facilitate open communication through their PAS Chapter officers, the student delegate representative, and their peers, in order to keep PAS moving forward with student needs in mind.

What are the rewards?

In addition to having direct communications with the leadership of PAS, you also receive:

✓ Personalized PAS business cards with your own email address
