PAS Announces 2008 Hall of Fame Inductees
The Percussive Arts Society has announced the names of those selected to be inducted into the PAS Hall of Fame, the society’s highest honor given to individuals whose careers have had a significant impact on percussion performance, education and research. Drummer, educator, clinician and manufacturer Roy Burns and famed solo percussionist, Dame Evelyn Glennie, will be honored this November at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Austin, Texas.

PASIC Scholarship Applications Available
Each year the Percussive Arts Society awards several scholarships to assist students to attend the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC). Each scholarship winner receives $500, complimentary PASIC registration and a one year PAS membership renewal. Deadline for application is June 13, 2008.

Percussive Arts Society Board of Director Nominations
The Board of Directors is a group of elected members that serve in a leadership role for the Percussive Arts Society. All PAS members are eligible for nomination to the Board of Directors and self nominations are accepted. Nominations must be made in writing and should include the nominee’s name, address, telephone number, fax number and email address. Nominations are due by June 1, 2008.
