Marching Percussion Festival

Recognized as one of the premier marching percussion festivals in the country, the Percussive Arts Society’s annual Marching Percussion Festival is an excellent opportunity to be critiqued by some of the leading percussion specialists in the field of marching percussion today. 


Individual Competition: 
High school and college individuals compete for national honors on snare, multi-tenors, keyboard, timpani, and multiple percussion.

Interactive Clinic: A "Non-Competitive Format" for your marching percussion ensembles to perform and receive feedback from this year's clinicians Scott Johnson of the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps and Tom Burritt of The University of Texas.

2013 Marching Percussion Composition Contest
Established to promote and recognize the highest level of marching percussion composition. Rotating categories to include Drumline, Battery and Front Ensemble. Winning Compositions will be published by Tapspace Publications.

Volunteer! Join The Marching Crew: 
The Marching Percussion Festival needs volunteers! As a member of The Marching Crew, you will work behind the scenes along side the judges and PAS Marching Committee members. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the festival runs smoothly and that the participants have a positive experience. 

Marching Crew members MUST be current PAS members and at least 18 years or older. 

The Marching Crew team members will receive:
 • PASIC 2013 Thursday Marching Festival/Expo wristband 
• Friday Full Day PASIC registration • PASIC Volunteer t-shirt
