Letter from the Editor — December 2021 : PASIC is Not Over Yet

Dec 1, 2021, 08:00 AM by Rhythm Scene Staff

Josh GottryThose of you who attended PASIC will agree that there was a palatable sense of gratefulness that permeated the convention hall. Over and over, I heard the words, “I’m so thankful that we’re all back together!” The community we share, the family that is our percussion society, was on full display as we figured out whose face was behind that mask and reconnected in a way that is only possible at an in-person convention.

The performances and clinics were off the charts as well, of course! And in that regard, PASIC is not yet over. Capitalizing on what was learned in last year’s virtual convention, PAS released a number of outstanding virtual clinic sessions during the Friday and Saturday of PASIC which are still available to every PAS member! Check out the R!S blog article from November 5 for all the details on how to attend, but the most important thing to remember is that you have until December 31 to access sessions presented by some of the most amazing percussionists and percussion educators on the planet.

PASIC as a community was outstanding as always, and hopefully many of you are already making plans for PASIC 2022. However, PASIC 2021 as a learning opportunity for our membership will continue to run through December 31. You shouldn’t miss this exceptional content available for viewing anytime this month from a seat on your couch.
